Job description:
The Faculty of History wishes to appoint a University Lecturer in the History of International Political Thought c.1700 to the Present. It is expected that the successful candidate will take up the post, based in central Cambridge, with effect from 1 October 2019.Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to develop this fast-expanding field of History through research and teaching. The main duties of the post will include teaching, supervising and examining at graduate and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to research and publish in his or her field at the highest level of excellence, and to contribute to the History Faculty's flourishing research culture.Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills; show a commitment to supporting students academically; and be able and ready to co-operate in Faculty affairs, including undertaking administration. The Faculty welcomes applications from both early-career scholars and those who have established careers.
